 Brothers and Sisters:

 We had our last meeting at RPM's on Grand Ave in Galesburg on December 14th. There were 17 members in attendance. We voted to have the Bash 09 be a two day event, this year to be on Saturday and Sunday.

 We had our Members Appreciation Party after the meeting and had representatives of the Charities that we support in attendance and got a group picture of members and the representatives.

 This meeting was also nominations for the officers, with the exception of the one State Board Delegate, Bert, who was elected last year for this 2 year term. Following is a list of who was nominated for the positions that are up this year: President- 2 yr term, Bert McElroy; Vice-President- 2 yr term, Jeff Pouche; Secretary- 2 yr term, still open; Treasurer- 2 yr term, still open; Membership- 2 yr term, Richard Gaines; State Board- 2 yr term, Mark Shearer; Legislative- 1 yr term, Bert McElroy; Safety & Ed- 1 yr term, Willis Queen; PR- 1 yr term, Scott Sornberger; Activities- 1 yr term, LeRoy Kitch; Special Events- 1 yr term, LeRoy Kitch; Sgt. At Arms- 1 yr term, Mitch. Our By-Laws specify that you must have attended 50% of the meetings in the past year in order to run for office, but if there is an open spot that no one runs for, it may be filled by appointment of a willing person. The Secretary and Treasurer positions will be opened again for nomination at the January meeting and if no one is nominated, then it will be filled by appointment. We also voted on the calendar for 2009 and it is posted on the website.

This is my last time to write this article for the chapter, hope to see you on the road, that's where I'm going to be, come spring. 22 years straight is a long time to be an officer of anything.

Next membership meeting is January 11th, 7 PM, at 21 Club, and the next Board Meeting is January 7th, at 7 PM at 21 Club, 74 N. Chambers.
