We had our general membership meeting January 10, 2009 at the 21 Club. We had 23 members present.

This meeting we had election of officers. The results are: President: Bert McElroy; Vice-President: Jeff Pouche; Secretary: LeRoy Kitch: Treasurer: Julie Bacon; Membership: Richard Gaines; State Board: Bert McElroy and Mark Shearer(appointed); Legislative: Bert McElroy; Safety & Ed: Gary Rule (Appointed pending acceptance); Public Relations: Scott Sornberger; Activities: LeRoy Kitch; Special Events: LeRoy Kitch; Sgt at Arms: William Mitchell.

Bert reported on the new stiffer DUI laws. Now on the first offense you must install an interlock device to start your car.

Upcoming events are the Cabin Fever Party at RPM’S in Galesburg on February 21^st, Please see flyer in this paper. Iron Horse will be playing at this event. RPM’S is bringing in the band. Thank you, Rusty and Brenda.

We moved to provide a flag for the POW/MIA flagpole that we sponsored on a as needed basis.

Our next membership meeting is February 14^th, 7PM, at The 21 Club, and the next Board meeting is February 11, at 7 PM, at The 21 Club.
