Brothers and Sisters,

    We had our General Membership Meeting Sep 13th, at the 21 Club with 24 members present.   . 
 

    The Charity Hog Drive has been concluded and the winning establishment, of the Hog Roast and Band, was The Nowhere Bar in Victoria, IL. The second runner up was GJ's in Kewanee.  We will have the Hog Roast Run on September 27th to visit the top five selling establishments.  Sign up will be 11 to 1 PM at the Crossroads at the junction of Rt 41 and Rt 116 near St. Augustine.  We thank all the retailers that participated in our fund raiser for Western Illinois Special Olympics, D.I.G.I.T. (Disabled Individuals Getting In Touch), and Galesburg Youth Athletic Club.   
  
   We want to thank everyone, once again,  that came out to the Bash and helped set up and/or helped clean up on Sunday or just helped run the different jobs during the event.  This is a fund raising event for Central this year and the Auction Items proceeds went to our Trauma Toys and Motorcycle Safety Funds.  We did have a good time.  Thanks also to Euclid Beverages and G&M Distributors for their support during our event.  Special thanks to Budwieser for bringing the Clydesdales to our event on Saturday Afternoon.  They are sure impressive.

   Our October event will be the Halloweenie Roast at Richard and Charlotte's on October 25th about 6 PM, and one week after that will be the 28th Annual Polar Bear Toy Run which starts in Galesburg this year and ends in Monmouth, on November 1st.  Summer sure went by quickly.
 

     Our next Board meeting is at 21 Club, Galesburg, at 7 PM, Wednesday, October 8th, and the general membership meeting is on Saturday October 11th, at 21 Club, 1/2 block North of the Post Office in Galesburg. DO NOT PARK IN THE OLD SEARS PARKING LOT. IT IS A TOW ZONE. PLEASE PARK IN THE 21 CLUB PARKING LOT.  If you need to verify a meeting or other information, Bert McElroy is the President and his Phone # is 309 344-4080. Keep in mind that he works most weekend days and call after 5:30 PM or anytime during the day to leave a message on the answer machine.
